When God changes your plans, go with what He wants. I was planning on writing about the Stars had researched it out and everything. However, in my quiet time God was like "No we are not going there today. Today is about My care for the animals and how much more important you are to Me." Almost off the bat this morning God started using the animals for His object lesson to me.
Starting with changing my plans. I had planned that while the dogs were outback doing their morning check on the yard making sure the squirrels and rabbits were not in the yard, I would sit enjoy the sound of the birds and get some prayer time in. Brooks, my 100 pound chicken hounddecided that was not going to happen, for his stomach was empty and he wanted his food right then as he tried to climb into my lap and started nudging me with his head to get up and get his food. God then said to me, "Your plans are not My plans for the day."
So the dogs are fed, happy doing their thing. Once again I'm sitting focusing on my quiet time with the Lord. As I'm listening and and watching the birds, in the back of my mind is the fact of the server weather that the weather man says is coming our way. I got to thinking that God knows all about this before it even happens and that He provides a safe place for the birds before the storm hits. They don't sit and watch the weather on the TV so they know when to take shelter they just know when to go take shelter and when it is safe to come out.
Then I got to reading Job chapter 39 and came across the ostrich. God, Himself, said that this bird lacks in wisdom. It is just a big bird how can it lack any wisdom? Well, when you look at the fact that with just one kick it could kill a man or a lion, instead of doing so it chooses to run away at about 43 miles per hour.
In James 1:5, we are told that if we lack wisdom to ask God and He will give it to us. So if there is anything that you are stuck in making a decision on ask and He will help you see which way you should go. Just be ready for Him to change your plans to His will.
