“Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice!”
Philippians 4:4 NASB
We are to rejoice ALWAYS! Not only when we are going through good times but even in the hard times.
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”
Philippians 4:6 NASB
When we seek God during the hard times we are to thank Him for what He has done and what He will do.
“And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:7 NASB
God gives us a peace that goes beyond understanding. It is this peace that rules our hearts and minds.
“Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.”
Philippians 4:8 NASB
This is what we are to focus or mind on. It helps us to live in this world that we are just passing through.
“I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.”
Philippians 4:13 NASB
Whatever we face would it be trials or something that God has asked us to do, He will give us the strength we need.
And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:19 NASB
Not just some of our needs but all our needs God will supply for. We have to examine our hearts that we don't make our wants in place of our needs.
All of these are worth putting to memory. I think that there is one more that needs to become a coffee cup verse.
“The things you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.”
Philippians 4:9 NASB
We have to practice what is in these verses it is not just enough to have them committed to memory or on a coffee cup.
