In finishing the book of Job there are several things that we need to pay attention to that came about in his restoration. Before he could be restored he confessed to God that he had misspoke about God. He didn't understand what was going on and was truely repentant for what he had said.
God accepted Job's repent heart and the next thing that happened was just the beginning of his restoration. God confronted the three friends that about how they had misspoke about God and what was going on with Job. The had to make a large offering in the presence of Job and Job was to pray for his friends. This was God restoring Job's status among His friends as righteous and a leader in the community.
As Job prayed God restored what he had lost. Not just what's Job lost but God blessed him with twice what he had lost. That is not to say that when we go through a trial that we will be blessed financially when we come out on the other side. Job had lost everything at the hand of God giving Satan the ability to test Job's faithfulness to Him. I don't think that I would want to go through what Job went through.
Job’s health was restored. He was 140 years when everything started. He lived another 140 years after God restored. So when you add it all up Job lived to be 280 years old.
The best part was the restoration of Job's family and friends. They had abandoned him because of what was going on in his life. How many times have you had friends and family walk out on you afraid to get involved because they are afraid what is going on with you will happen to them? I have lost friends because of some stuff going on in my life when I was in college. I have also had to break off friendships because of what they were doing was dragging me down with them. God doesn't want us to live life alone. He will restore the relationships that were lost or replace them with better ones.
The most important relationship that was restored was Job's and God's. No longer was God distant but Job saw Him one on One. Job now had a personal relationship with God. God desires to have a personal relationship with each of us. What Jesus did on the cross has made that relationship one on One relationship possible for us. I would have to say that being God's adopted daughter is awesome.
