Paul didn't say only on these days, or not when you are feeling bad, but in everything do it in the name of Jesus. The Amplified version adds, "in dependence upon His Person,". What an impact that had when I read it.
I have made a list of my least favorite chores. One is written as to doing it on my own power and the other is asking Jesus for His power to do it. You see the difference?
I find it interesting that this verse comes right before Paul tells wives to submit to their husbands. When I depend on Jesus I can submit to my husband more willingly than when I'm walking in my own strength. With His love and strength flowing through me, I am depending on Him to be leading us down the path that we are going as a couple.
