Getting up early has always been a problem for me. Every time I would set my alarm to get up early, do my prayer time and Bible study it was a struggle. That is when I would come under attack and the enemy would tell me how much of a failure I was. Then God showed me that early morning was not the only time that Jesus prayed. He would get away by Himself throughout the day and pray.
The key word here is alone. Jesus got away by Himself when He would feel like He need to spend time with His Father. After a long day of teaching Jesus took time to pray while His disciples set sail. Jesus later caught up to them by walking on the water. Jesus also got alone to Himself in the garden to pray just before His coming death.
It is when we are alone that we can have true fellowship with our Father. We too need to have that alone time with God each day. We need to be where we can be distraction free, quiet, and hear God speak to us. We just need to quiet our hearts. It can be listening to Creistian music or reading a Psalms or Proverbs .
My favorite time is when I have a cup of coffee. I go outback and just sit and listen to the birds in the morning. There has even been times when I'm driving that it has been a good time alone with God.
Susanna Wesley, mother John and Charles Wesley, had 10 children. She would take and put a stool in the middle of the kitchen sit down and put her apron over her head. The children all knew that this was not a time to disturb her. So no matter what time find a creative way to set sometime alone each day with God.
