During the months of January and February we will be looking at what the Bible says and I will be sharing some of my journey over the past five years in healing from abuse, illness and injury. A good friend of mine told me that wounds of the heart are like onions they have layers that you have to peel to get to the center when they are not healed properly. We need to be like oysters and coat the irritants so that they will become smooth and a valuable asset to our lives making us who God wants us to be.
My goal through this study is found in, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God." (2 Corinthians 1:3-4 NASB). We will be able to go and minister to others what God has done in our lives.
We will also be looking at four different women, their hurts, their healing and how God used them. There are so many to choose from within the Bible, I believe that these four encompass healing that we all need.
So join us starting January 5th, as we start Healing The Wounded Heart. What a great way to start the new year by healing our past hurts so that we can be ready to be used by God throughout the rest of the year.
