Our trials very rarely are finished over night, they drag on for a long time sometimes. That is when God is our strength to continue on day after day. When my oldest son was diagnosed with hydrocephalus it was the longest six months I can remember. It was a constant battle mentally and emotionally. The pediatrician had placed the thought in my mind that he was going to have to have surgery and that the shunt didn't mean he would live because there were several different things that could happen with the shunt that he could die from. There were days that I was totally relying on God for strength to make it through. Finally, the day came when the neurosurgeon said that my son no longer had any extra fluid in his brain and that he could not tell what caused it to clear up. My heart just burst out with thanksgiving to God for I know it was His work that had healed my son.
