Lately God has been speaking to me about prayer. Lisa's post on prayer in her study that she is doing on Romans chapters 1-3, really hit home when I read it. I was encouraged to pray more for others when I got done reading it. So check it out. http://conformingtothetruth.net/2015/09/16/are-you-encouraged-when-you-know-youre-being-prayed-for/

The featured post this week is by Jann Cobb. I have been trying on my own to write an article for a book. I was getting no where. I had a friend tell me talk to God about it. Then I read Jann's post and the phrase, "Meet with Me." really hit home. I never write without consulting Him first. This was different somehow, it was a story about my life. How hard could it be to write? Extremely! I couldn't start any where. I listen to my friend and Jann's advice, met with Him. That is when the words started coming. Check out Do Not Harden Your Heart.

This week's featured blog is by my coffee twin, Bonnie Lyn Smith. Dragonflies, Lily Pads, Bullfrogs, and Faith I love the truths that she has pulled out of nature and applied to faith. I want to be a Lily Pad with roots that go down deep where they become anchor of stability, so that others can depend on me for support and strength. So check out Dragonflies, Lily Pads, Bullfrogs, and Faith.
Last week there were several post that were about prayer. The one I chose to be the featured blog really hit home to me, because it happened to me. Deb Wolf knew nothing about it when she wrote her blog or that it is one of my walls that is up.
I was in a leadership position at the church I was going to. On Wednesday nights we were having a special series on being a wife. What is said in that study was suppose to stay in that study. On Thursday nights, my family was part of a home study that we had gone to since we started going to that church. I had become very close to this one lady. So it came as shocker when she shared with me that the lady she talked to the night before needed prayer and went into detail on it. I really didn't hear what she said because my mind was going in so many different directions all at one time. I had to correct her and loose the chance of being her friend. What all have I confided in her that she had spread as a prayer request? I could no longer trust to share deep personal things without wondering who she would tell. I was angry, frustrated, and resented being put in that situation. So if you have not read it yet take time to be blessed by Deb's blog, How To Be Happy-By Avoid Gossip.
